Hull City had an excellent away day at Plough Lane as they beat AFC Wimbledon 0-3.

Grant McCann made three changes coming into this match from the side that started Tuesday night's defeat against Ipswich Town as Lewie Coyle, Alfie Jones and Josh Magennis replaced Josh Emmanuel, Dan Crowley and Gavin Whyte respectively.
The Tigers made a bright start to the first half as Mallik Wilks had an effort in the 3rd minute which was comfortably saved by Wimbledon goalkeeper Sam Walker. City came close to taking the lead in the 17th minute when Josh Magennis saw his shot go just over the bar.
City were awarded a penalty in the 23rd minute when Keane Lewis-Potter went down in the Wimbledon box after a challenge from Ben Heneghan. Josh Magennis subsequently dispatched the penalty to give the Tigers the lead with his 10th league goal of the season.

Wimbledon had an effort of their own in the 25th minute as they looked for an equaliser when George Dobson's deflected shot was saved by City goalkeeper Matt Ingram.
City almost doubled their lead in the 39th minute as Keane Lewis-Potter raced through on goal after being picked out by a Josh Magennis pass and rounded Sam Walker but he faced a tight angle and was unable to direct his effort towards the Wimbledon goal.
The Tigers did double their lead in the 43rd minute courtesy of Reece Burke's 3rd league goal of the season as he produced a calm finish to slot the ball home past Sam Walker after Josh Magennis headed the ball down to him from a Lewie Coyle cross.

George Honeyman nearly scored early in the second half as his effort was well saved by Sam Walker. City threatened again a couple of minutes later as Mallik Wilks had his shot saved by Sam Walker.
Josh Magennis also came close as he put an effort wide.
City were awarded their second penalty of the game in the 63rd minute when Mallik Wilks was fouled inside the Wimbledon box by Alex Woodyard. Wilks stepped up and silkily caressed the penalty into the back of the net to secure his 15th league goal of the campaign.

The Tigers thought they scored a fourth goal in the 71st minute when Keane Lewis-Potter was put clean through and lobbed the ball over Sam Walker into the back of the net but it was ruled out for offside.
Wimbledon nearly got a consolation goal late on as Jaako Oksanen's strike was saved by Matt Ingram.
City remain in 3rd place in the League One table after this win and they're one point adrift of 2nd placed Lincoln City. However, the Imps and 1st placed Peterborough United still have two games in hand.
The Tigers will look to build on this result on Tuesday night when they welcome Rochdale to the KCOM Stadium.
