Hull City picked up a third successive league victory as they won 3-0 at Ipswich Town.

City made a brilliant start to the game and took the lead in the 2nd minute when Mallik Wilks bagged his 6th league goal of the season with a well taken finish after having the ball laid back to him by George Honeyman.
The hosts threatened in the 20th minute through Keanan Bennetts but his attempted effort was blocked by Jacob Greaves.
The Tigers then had a couple of opportunities towards the end of the first half. Hakeeb Adelakun saw his shot saved by Ipswich goalkeeper Tomáš Holy whilst Callum Elder put an effort wide.

City doubled their lead just before half time as Josh Magennis secured his 5th league goal of the campaign when he received the ball from a Reece Burke cross and slotted home.
The Tigers should have extended their lead in the 62nd minute when Magennis fired an effort over the bar. City came close again in the 67th minute as Mallik Wilks was denied a second goal of the game by a good save from Tomáš Holy. Ipswich had a chance in the 73rd minute courtesy of James Norwood but his effort was saved by City goalkeeper Matt Ingram.

City got their third goal in the 77th minute thanks to a goal from Tom Eaves as he made an immediate impact after coming off the bench and got himself on the scoresheet with a calm finish. The Tigers remain top of League One and now have a four point gap between themselves and 3rd placed Lincoln City.
