Hull City picked up a point from their game at Sunderland as they drew 1-1.

There was a lengthy delay inside the first few minutes of the game when Sunderland goalkeeper Lee Burge suffered an eye injury after he was caught by Mallik Wilks.
City took the lead in the 13th minute as Reece Burke was on hand to tap home to secure his 2nd league goal of the season after Lee Burge spilled the ball into his path as he attempted to catch it from a George Honeyman free kick.

Sunderland equalised in the 21st minute through courtesy of Aiden McGeady as he met a Jack Diamond cross and headed home. The Tigers came close to retaking the lead in the 26th minute when Tom Eaves was found in the Sunderland box by a Mallik Wilks cross and saw his header come back off the crossbar.
Eaves had another opportunity in the 35th minute as his header was well saved by Lee Burge after he was picked out by another Mallik Wilks cross. City were forced into making a change before half time as Tom Eaves picked up an injury and was subsequently replaced by Josh Magennis.
Mallik Wilks had an effort in the 50th minute which he fired over the bar. Meanwhile, Sunderland created a half chance in the 57th minute as Charlie Wyke failed to make proper contact with the ball.
Keane Lewis-Potter made another appearance off the bench as he was brought on in the 66th minute to replace Alfie Jones. City goalkeeper George Long was called into action in the 71st minute when he had to react well to tip a mishit Jack Diamond cross over the bar.
Mallik Wilks had a late chance to win it for City late on but his effort was well blocked by the Sunderland defence. The Tigers subsequently had a corner which resulted in Reece Burke putting a header wide.
City remain in 2nd place and are now four points adrift of league leaders Lincoln City.
